Smart Materials

I was quite interesting in smart materials a while ago and did some research into it, this was one of the videos I incorporated into one of my presentations.
the technology is definitely something I believe will be used in the design industry in the coming future. I was rather intrigued by the spring which if came into contact with hot water "heal" into its original shape, the first thing that came to mind for this technology to be used was on a car body as often bumps and dents are inevitable, if this technology can be incorporated into the car industry i think the outcome will be awesome.
